What Is The Timeline Like Now?

Starting this fall at a non-target as a non-diversity male. I am seeing people right now, in April 2022, already securing offers for summer 2023 internships. This begs the question: what is the current recruiting timeline? When should I start networking, studying for technicals, and when do applications open/close? I always thought recruiting started fall of junior year, but I guess it has changed.

Assuming this is not a troll and this is for IB, START APPLYING NOW. Polish your resume one last time and send it to as many positions (regardless of prestige etc.) as possible, then list out contacts (go search on LinkedIn or your alumni network or on there website) that might help you through the process for each role. Do it ASAP. Because most big shops have already wrapped up diversity recruiting and started non-diversity recruiting (either receiving applications or have already sent out interviews), and smaller shops have started too. Everything is on a rolling basis. You might also want to consider consulting and MO/BO at banks.

I will be starting undergrad this fall, and I am trying to make a timeline for when to do what. For smaller shops, what would be the best way to find/network with them? Is there a list of boutiques I could go off of? Also, not a troll lmao. Just an anxious high school senior.

It makes a lot more sense now that I know you are still a high school senior. Thought that you are a sophomore lol. Enjoy your summer (seriously, do not get stressed out by ib recruiting rn it's way too early for you)! To start off, are you diversity? I know it's not the best question to ask right off the bat but the process is very different for diversity vs non-diversity.

Unfortunately, I am a non-diversity asian male. Just was wondering when recruiting starts and when I should start networking. Its better to over-prepare than under-prepare imo, so I wanted to plan out my undergrad this summer so I can hit the ground running this fall.

Lol I was like things for sure have changed from my day
