It doesn’t matter that much. If you start networking in the fall it can be really advantageous, especially if you are able to keep the relationship up because then it doesn’t feel as fake. Also, they might come to you when apps open up instead of you going to them.

An advantage of waiting until spring is that then you are at the top of the peoples mind during recruiting. But you are also competing with every other kid that is trying to get last minute networking in.

If I were you, I would start reaching out in the fall and then in the spring take a trip out to your target city and visit the banks in person.
