when someones mentions they are in a PWM internship

Depends entirely of what they indicate they have learned from it and what they've taken away from it.

If they are blindly proud, I think they are a dumb huckster who can't read his audience and am not impressed.

If they are apologetic/shameful, I think they don't realise the opportunity they had or how to spin it. Also, they are crap self-marketers.

From my perspective (which is very much a function of my non-salesy role), I'd want someone to tell me they appreciate that it's a bit of a sales job, but they can recognise what they can learn from that and they also appreciate how it challenges them.
