What should I do for one year of free time?

I am currently going to get a masters degree in computational finance next year. Would this be better than working for two years and going to business school? I am a deep thinker and have a natural curiosity for finance and statistics. I have this year off. Any ideas what I should do this year?

'Deep thinker' is an interesting remark. Based on the degree I'm guessing you are interested in S&T/Research. Could be wrong, however if you have good soft skills on top of that masters degree you will make rain. My thoughts are to go to a foreign country and hustle (sell things....make friends and sell their things, stuff like that). Then after a year pull out. Another idea is to read Sun Tzu's 'The Art of War' and practice everything he says numerous times throughout the day. There's your MBA and a good story. Tada
