What the fuck can I do?

Sophomore at a piece of shit community college. Transferring to a shitty state school. Live in Houston and want to go to NYC. No connections and can barely afford tuition on my own. Not sure what internships or jobs I should be looking at getting. I definitely don't want to do IB. Is AM or PWM possible for me? What are some easy roles I could break into from a non target? I don't care if it's shit pay I just want something that's possible for me to get into. Should I look at becoming a Financial Adviser? I really don't care if I have to take a shitty NYC job or retarded summer internships cold calling all day or running coffee. I just want in.

You might have a tough time getting a job if you're unwilling to get any experience before you apply. I would research more about what you specifically want to do.

I think AM interests me a lot. I have a friend in Boston who is an intern at a small firm and he says he can easily get me an internship for next summer. I think that is my best bet
