What to say to alumni?

So i just got my last SA rejection today, had a number of 1st rounds, 2 second rounds, but no offers.

I guess the next step is to begin e-mailing alumni. This is decently late into the recruiting season, so how should I approach these alumni and what should I be asking them?

Sorry to derail your post jonjon - but this should serve as an example of why it's always beneficial to reach out to alumni, even when you already have the interviews lined up yourself. You never know how much help they can be, as most of their help goes on behind the scenes.

Jonjon - you should absolutely reach out to your alumni and any other contacts you have. Set up informational phone conversations and follow up with them. They'll know you're looking for SA help - so don't be afraid to ask them if they know of any available spots within their firms. At this point in the game, it's going to be hard to build enough goodwill for them to do too much, but you never know. Be open to other locations or even back office positions, as anything will look better than nothing for FT recruiting.
