What Types of Jobs are Most Market Intensive?
Hello all,
Hope everyone is doing well and good luck to those who have started/will be starting their internships soon.
I am currently trying to find other entry-level positions that may suit my interests. I am most likely not going to get an IB position since I did not have any experience whatsoever. Furthermore, it would tear me inside to have to choose IB over other things come graduation, for me at least.
Thus, I am trying to see what other full-time positions are out there that are highly market intensive. I would like to be in a job where the market conditions highly affect what I do. It may be argued that it affects any job, but I mean like, it would affect a gig at a rating agency more than back-office in BB right? (I hope I am right)
Anyways, I am interested in Counter-Party Risk because it is a good balance of Technical + Fundamental analysis (More fundamental). Hopefully you guys who have had more experience and exposure can suggest other jobs to look into. While I like ER, it seems a bit arcane for me. Financial analyst (I will be interning in Finance at a BB this summer), I will have to see how that goes.
Thanks in advance!
