What’s the best way to get finance experience ASAP for IB internship?

I’m a junior recruiting for summer 2028. What’s the best way to get a finance internship on my resume this fall before applications close? I have a technical background (which is why I’m so late to recruiting) and have been networking like crazy, but the experience gap is an obvious ding. Assuming I only have time for one, what’s the best shot to be targeting (relevant on resume and relatively high likelihood). Anything I can literally cold call my way into? A few things I’m considering:
- big 4 in winter
- vc scout/sourcing
- equity research right now with a professor
- search fund?

If I can’t land anything is there any way at all I can do something informal/semiformal/volunteer that could help me get looked at? Campus clubs at my school only take lowerclassmen so that’s off the table.
