Whats the point in even trying to get into this industry

I'm a rising sophomore at a lower Ivy and honestly I don't think I'll be able to break into IB, any adjacent field, accounting, or quite frankly any white collar job. I don't have any family connections, am not DEI, and am not social or attractive or intelligent enough to make up for that, especially not now with the economy being this shit for new grads and AI creating Hunger Games levels competition for what's left of entry level white collar jobs. Might as well just accept my fate and go work minimum wage somewhere like Missouri or Nebraska where shit is cheap and the minimum wage is $15.

Fresh account one post obvious rage bait

You should reflect on how you’ve decided to use your time in life

I thought this was going to be a post about how trying to work in this industry is pointless because the pay is nowhere near enough to justify the shitty hours. I can’t believe there are still people this desperate to break in when the pay isn’t even that good anymore. I was told the median MDs at the BBs like MS and JPM only take home $1.2mm a year now. That’s nowhere near enough to justify losing all your hair, getting fat, and having your marriage fall apart with kids who don’t speak to you
