When is the best time to start cold emailing for internships?
I know that cold emailing for internships is pretty important (especially for a rising sophomore) and I saw that a bunch of summer 2024 internship applications are open. Given the fact that these are starting to open now, I was wondering what is the best time to start cold emailing and reaching out to small boutique/regional businesses/firms (not necessarily IB, just any finance-related experience would be good). I feel like it's way too early now given it's July of the year before. Would around sept/oct be a better time to start reaching out/ cold emailing in search of an internship for 2024 summer?
