Where tf are you guys living?

I've been searching apartments in NYC, specifically in Manhattan, and everything is insanely priced. Looking around for studios and its $3k+. So where are all of you living / how did you find it?

You're going to have to sacrifice a bit if you want a studio. I found one for $2,600. No amenities except laundry in the building and an elevator. I wanted at least a dishwasher or virtual doorman but having both was too hard to find except for some places in midtown west but I decided I didn't want to live there. You should also take into account the BS 15% broker's fee that applies at most places which is a shit ton.

I used a broker to look for apartments but they weren't that helpful since they were only able to show me 5 places. They said it was because of how competitive the market is so maybe it's not their fault.
