Which is the better internship
What would be the better internship if I was trying to get a SA position at a BB: a SA position at a no-name small boutique or being a SA at a PE firm that's not huge like carlyle, kkr, etc, but definitely respectable and something that people have heard of? I'm slightly more concerned with getting to first round interview than most since I'm at a non-target.
It depends on your role at both. Assuming that your roles at both opportunities would be roughly comparable in terms of experience and responsibility, then I strongly suspect that your PE opportunity would add more weight to your resume.
