Which offer? BB capital markets or MM IB?
Which offer would you take for a summer analyst position? An ECM/DCM offer from a mid tier BB (CS/Barclays/Citi)? Or a generalist IB offer from a top MM (Deutsche/RBC/Wells Fargo)?

I would take the IB offer especially if you want to exit somewhere on the buyside.
I worked in CM for a year and you work nearly as much as banking but the work is way more boring/repetitive and exits are really tough to come by.
I would argue that taking an IB offer from any of those mentioned is better than CM at the mid tier BBs
So then how did you manage to exit, and to what? Any advice appreciated.
