White Space

Is there a general opinion among reviewers on resume white space? Is it better to go for the clean, generous margins look at the expense of detailed extracirricular descriptions (even just one line, and only for ones where the applicant has a leadership position), or to fit in detailed descriptions of both work experience and extracirricular leadership by pushing the margins out to say 0.15?

I guess it boils down to an asthetic (not making the reviewers eyes bleed from so much text) vs. detail (giving a description of relevant extracirriculars so as to accentuate experience and desire in those all-important 30 seconds) argument

white space is definitely important. you want to keep your resume as crisp and readable as possible. after a certain point, reading resumes gets very painful on the eyes and the person reading your resume will thank you for it.
