wholesale to institutional sales
I am graduating in a few weeks, and have been interviewing with many firms (mostly mutual funds) for internal wholesaler positions. My end goal would be to assume a external wholesaler role in a few years, but I was curious if it is possible/at all common for wholesalers to move into institutional sales roles.
Any insight as to how it would be done would be appreciated; would it help to get a CFA/MBA?
