Why Operations?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had a good answer to this question. And yes, I understand that if you need to ask a message board, you probably shouldn't work in the position. To preempt this response, you are very likely right. Nevertheless, I have thought about it for quite some time, and besides the usual BS (I want to learn about the core business, various products offered by the firm, analytical mindset, etc.)I cannot come up with a worthwhile response. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Work & life balance, sell it, and it's yours

the people interviewing picked Ops for work life balance. who can argue against your reasoning?

say you want to be able to have your own time, your own hobbies, have a family, be healthy. at the same time, want a favor of the financial services world without killing yourself in banking.

-thinking about a career in project management -enjoy process improvement -like figuring how things work -like workings as a team vs. transactional
