Why Your Industry?

Hey monkeys,

From talking with people in the finance industry (especially IB, my interest) about recruiting, a specific motivation seems really important (ex: why banking? why GS S+T) to landing either an SA or FT spot.

The problem is the same people who tell me most people are sick of the same stupid answers ($, prestige, the challenge) keep giving me those answers when I ask them.

Why did you guys want to do what you do?
