Will a sophomore internship at Nomura/Deloitte (CF) help for junior recruiting?
Do you think interning at a firm like Nomura/Deloitte in their IB department will be helpful for IB recruiting for Junior year?
I am targeting BBs and EBs for junior year and I was wondering how much of an edge will this internship give me. I have the opp. to intern at one of these two.

What do you mean by “the opportunity to intern”? Like they gave you official sophomore offers already?
Of course, most people work at no name boutique IBs. Having a solid shop on your list will make you stand out.
How would it not help? Putting IB experience on your resume to apply for IB internships probably wouldn't help man. The sophomore IB internship isn't really applicable to a junior year IB internship. Maybe you should work as a lifeguard or something that seems more related to IB than an IB internship.
