Work or Personal Email for cold email?

Title. Been reaching out to school alumni using the alumni database. Or should I send to 1 and cc the other?

Also, if I already sent it out to the personal email, would it be appropriate to cc the work email in the follow up? If so, is it possible that I email the wrong/not intended person?

Thanks!
