worth it to apply to BX with bad gpa but vp referral

so i have a 3.2 gpa because of some personal stuff that arose during school but still want to aim high and apply for the 2025 finance blackstone. I have a VP referral from blackstone but they don’t know my gpa and i’m worried that once they refer me it’ll ruin a relationship, Is it even worth it to apply to blackstone now with such a low gpa or should I apply next year. I also plan to write a CV but unsure if i should cite bad gpa bc of health reasons. Would appreciate any advice!!
