18 year old needing professional help!

Hi everyone! I'm Taylor and I'm a senior in high school. I will be attending college next year going for my finance degree. I am interested in heading right to NYC after undergrad in hopes of an IB Analyst position or a job in Private Equity. I need guidance though from some professionals like you and I believe Senior year in high school isn't too early to get some help. So far the only tips I have received is from one of my friends dads who I had a meeting with who is a VP from Amazon. I wanted to understand some basic tips of how to get where I want to be, and things you yourself would do over and not make the mistake of. My MAIN question today would be my college choice, I have up until this Saturday to make a decision. I am deciding between Xavier University who gave me a ton of aid, and ASU. I have heard ASU wrecks resumes, but then I have heard differently as well. What are your guys' opinions between which school to go to in order to make it to where I want to be.... (IB or PE....top 10 grad school... Rank up from there)Xavier is a small(ER) school in Cincinnati while ASU is the biggest school in the nation in Arizona. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Both aren't that great but I'd pick ASU. More tail than you'll know what to do with and with a lot of hard work you can place into BB IBD (do a LinkedIn search).

Search "ASU Undie Run" on Google if you need further convincing.

agree with other posters, if you're going to a non-target, make it a fun non-target, and get involved in everything you can to have an interesting "story," network like crazy, and get good grades. if I were you, I'd look at local west coast hedge funds/AM shops for internships & networking. don't just stick to AZ either, look at LA & SD, plenty of firms there.

Wish I could offer more insight about the schools, but I don't really know enough. ASU > Xavier because at least you'll have a bigger network (along with the other non-career related benefits)
