I'm starting business school next fall (class of 2016) at Wharton. I've spent a couple years at a small strategy consulting firm and then another couple years in the portfolio operations group (think KKR Capstone) at a largish PE fund (~$4B flagship fund). I want to transition into investment banking or big 3 consulting after getting my MBA. I'm hoping to use WSO to get smart about investment banking and financial modeling.
I'm happy to answer any questions about my small firm consulting/PE company operations experience. Feel free to message me. In retrospect, neither job was really a great fit for me, although they were both decent opportunities (the PE role being infinitely better than the consulting one).
