Career Advice Needed - Objective career advice

Hello fellow primates!

I was hoping to get some objective career advice.

I am a Canadian living and working in Toronto at one of the banks here.

I am currently in my first year as an Ops Analyst on the Canadian Futures desk. I am a motivated individual who is very serious about establishing a career as a trader on trading desk.

Last summer i completed an internship in Dubai, U.A.E, with HSBC and was fortunate enough to work with a wide array of products (FX, Fixed Income, Equities and Structured Products)

I was hoping to get some advice on what to do next?

I am writing my CFA level 1 in June and have begun to build relationships with my front office. My only fear is becoming stuck in the current back office role that i am in (the stigma that front office has against back office) and not be given any serious consideration for any entry level front office role.

Any helpful insight is appreciated!
