Greetings - Hoping to contribute

I am Robert. I am 16 and I wish to be engaged in a financial field. I joined Wall Street Oasis to discover personal experiences about work in different fields in the financial sector and perhaps find one I am interested in.

Truth be told, I haven't spent my time until now wisely. I want to make amends with myself and place myself firmly on the path towards success. Although mistakes have been made, I believe that I can rectify them and slowly start moving forwards.

I read the post 'Life Goes On' and it inspired me. This man has obviously realised that his actions are important and has decided to seize the opportunities he has.

I hope I can share what knowledge I have and contribute to the discussions here.

Nice to meet you.

welcome - you're getting an early start so that is good, but try to keep an open mind and check out our FAQs before deciding for sure you want to go into finance. There are MANY different fields and positions and they can be very different from firm to firm...right now, the bets thing you can do to help your chances is to make sure you get into a good college.

Best of luck, Patrick

I am concentrating on my education at the moment, but I will strive harder to increase future opportunities. I decided to focus on finance as it would give me some direction in life. However, I will try to be more open to other careers. I think that my career will have some application of economics or finance in it though. I find them to be the most interesting subjects.

Thank you for the response Patrick. On some of the forums I frequent, the owners do not post or contribute to discussions. I appreciate you posting in the thread.
