HELP: Emerging Markets Research, Unexpected BB Interview

So I came across a posting at my university's career service, a top 3 BB is recruiting a part time Research Assistant in Emerging Markets to support information gathering, conduct macroeconomic modelling and statistical analysis, monitor data releases and update databases, etc.

I sent off my CV and was shocked to learn that I have an interview. I have zero modelling experience.

Anyway, I want to give this all I got and wondered if you had any advice?

How can I start to prepare, what are the main themes in emerging markets at the moment, what sort of analysis goes into reports/ do you think I would be doing, etc?

Thanks!

The analysts I knew who worked in the Latin American EM group spent a lot of their time reading Spanish/Portuguese news articles on data releases.
