Hey guys

Hey guys!

Been a bit of a lurker for a few months. This site really spiced up my interests in the financial sector. I go to a "semi target" in NYC. I just finished freshman year with a 3.9 GPA. Was wondering how necessary is it to intern as a freshman? I have submitted my resume to a significant amount of places but I haven't gotten many calls back because I am a freshman. I have networked and developed a few significant relationships. I haven't had any luck with PMW either. I'm interested in IB, but am definately open to other career paths in finance.

How should I spend my summer? & what type of internship should i look for next semester as a sophomore?

Edit: A friend of a friend had me email someone about an internship, the guy emailed me back after I sent my resume saying "the person I want to introduce you to is traveling in china this week. I will let you know about an internship with him when he gets back next week" at the time I replied and said i will follow up. Now being that I am not to great with emailing, what would be a good follow up email?

Thanks guys!
