I'm not exactly a new user, but I still wanted to introduce myself. I'm am incoming freshman in Carnegie Mellon and I'm planning to double major in business and math. I've already discovered a lot by being on WSO and hope to continue learning from this great community. How difficult is it to get into BS comp fi from a applied math major?
CMU BSCF student here.
You'll probably be taking a lot of similar classes as the track for compfi so it's easier for you than another major. When I asked Prof Shreve, he told me that it would be based one 3 factors - 1. grades 2. social interaction 3. interest in finance.
