Introducing an ASU Senior looking for help to build his "Happily ever after" haha :P
Hey there ladies and gentlemen of WSO.
I am Batman :P. Not a troll. I promise. I'm just scared to reveal my true identity for now since the questions I'm gonna be asking will literally make you face Palm and shake your head and wonder how am I a college senior.
Anyways, I'm a senior finance student at ASU. I'm about to graduate in a year. I'm an international student from India and came to the United States to pursue my undergraduate degree.
And I'm looking forward to looking like a total dummy but learning a lot here.
And with that here is my first question - All I know about the finance industry is that I wanna learn to invest my money so I can own a McLaren P1 by the time I'm 30 years old while I'm paying for my sister's education. Also I'm turning 21 soon. I decided to major in Finance during my Junior year after reading the Richest Man in Babylon by George S Clayson. But I know nothing about the financial industry and have no understanding of things such as -
- Whether I wanna go in to hedge funds/investment banking/stock brokering or what's the difference between all of em.
- What position I should apply as an intern for?
- How do I land an internship by August?
- How do I use this website the best way possible?
