Introduction - Isherwood1

Hi, I'm David from London, I am an economics grad and have worked in compliance and a prop trading arcade.

Like a lot of naive grads, all I wanted was to be a trader. I started reading a lot of IB/HF based books when I was 16. I turned my tunnel vision on and had a couple of successful years formulating and adapting my short term strategies. It was around this time last year when I realised that the prop trading at a firm/personal was a risky and very narrow career path to take and as much as I loved it, I wanted a role a life outside the matrix (the short term to long term epiphany) . So here I am at 22, finding myself lost in the jungle of opportunity and not knowing the direction I really want to take.

From what I have seen already is that a lot of the grads who are on this website have that same passion and focus that I once had and have figured out exactly what they want to do. Now that I feel I am flittering on the other side of the spectrum I am on WSO to educate myself, get some advice and hopefully provide help where I can to others.

Thanks all.
