You can probably lateral but Lazard isn't half bad. I used to know guys at Lazard in london and they absolutely killed it. Don't know if that's the truth in the states or it still is but it doesn't have to be BB or bust.
too much info given here.. at least take your school name off. I'd say try to lateral to GS or Blackstone or Evercore. i wouldn't switch for MS, JPM, depending which contacts you have at which groups.
