LunaMirage Intro

Hello,

I am a software developer/entrepreneur majoring in Computer Science at San Jose State University. Currently taking an internship in Tokyo for a financial information technology gig. It's been pretty sweet. Learned about overnight index swapping and various other things. The company has a lecture on finance every Monday night in Japanese, but unfortunately my Japanese isn't all that great. I'm hoping to be graduating with my degree at the end of 2015. I am currently working on doing a startup with a friend as well as expecting an internship at a linux networking company when I get back to the states in late June.

My interests:
Karate
Go (game)
Mahjong
Technology
Socializing
Finance
Video games
Strategy

I've read a lot of different things online about finance and had way too many questions.
I was thinking about moving to Japan after I graduate.
Hoping to get a job where I am currently interning or at Google.
Thinking my starting salary will be around 25,000 USD after taxes and should hopefully be able to double it to 50k.
My boss said they usually try to adjust second year salary based off 1st year performance. So perhaps I could increase a lot faster. Japan has a very slow induction system where they try to gradually bring people up speed.
Things in Japan seem to be pretty cheap compared to america with the exception of housing. Inheritance tax seems to also be a huge pain in the ass.

Know any good books on stocks and finance/business strategy?
How in demand is finance software?
