My Introduction - Internship with investment firm

Hey guys,

I've been lurking this site for a couple weeks and figured that it was time I made an account and started posting - especially since I've had some questions start to pop into my head.

Where to start...I'm 19 years old, I go to Mizzou, King of the SEC (hah), Finance major, and I'm a member of a fraternity...really not sure how specific of information to start handing out, so I'll just play it by ear!

This past winter break has been a great one for me. For the past month I've been interning at an Investment Management firm in St. Louis. It was an incredible stroke of luck that I got this internship, as I really sort of just lucked into it. I don't have an amazing GPA, and my interviewer told me that I impressed him when I started talking about what I liked in some Thomas Sowell books.

Right now I'm assisting the firm with a broker-dealer withdrawl they're currently going through, and it's given me a lot of experience on the accounting and brokerage side of the firm, and the investment advisory team has been overly generous in being extremely open to questions that I have, and letting me sit in on conference calls/meetings with clients.

I guess you can start commenting/asking questions for me now? Haha.
