New User, Hi Guys

Hi everyone, I'm planning to major in finance. I don't know too much about finance yet, but I'm reading finance textbooks and websites in my spare time (currently reading Investments 9th edition). love reading the excellent advice on this site and look forward to learning more about the industry. Thanks WSO veterans for making this site so useful and informative!

Welcome to WSO. I just started a Pittsburgh WSO group (link below), so feel free to join. I'm hoping to have a Pittsburgh meetup in the near future, which hopefully will be a good opportunity to network. In the meantime, join some campus organizations, approach a professor about co-writing a paper (offer to collect the data/do the grunt work), and focus on getting an internship next summer. Good luck.

Are you at all interested in computer science? Are you able to take any classes (or minor) in the subject?

I've worked as a paid developer for the past two summers. I'd love to do a 2nd major in CS, but its almost impossible to do business & CS and graduate in four years. Might do the minor, but I'm also looking at a 2nd major in Operations Research and Stat.

Also, Ben Shalom Bernanke is right. The pittsburgh link says "access denied."
