new user + question about choosing an internship

Hi Wall Street Oasis community,

I'm a junior in college who has occasionally lurked this site, and people here seem to know what they're talking about (or at least express their opinions very confidently). I was wondering if you guys could help me with an internship question.

I recently received a finance summer internship offer from CIT Group, which from what I can tell is a small or medium sized lending firm, and I'm also looking at an interview from GE's healthcare division for another finance internship.

Which one would be a better place to have an internship? I know GE is by far the bigger company, but is there a benefit to working at a firm whose main operations have more to do with finance? Also, is there even any benefit to working at a big company?

Thanks in advance!
