Not exactly near Wall Street

Hello to all!

I'm from Belgrade, Serbia. Been a mechanical engineering student but before I graduated I stumbled upon finance, investing and trading. I realized that is what I always wanted to do in my life, but I did not know anything about it, so I decided to switch into economy and finance studies. Now I'm one year away from my Bachelor's and I study hard with maximum grades. Meanwhile I trade with my own account.

Found WSO today through random search on the net and I began to drown in all the useful information you guys have here! I know I'm not able to compete for jobs on Wall Street but I think being a member can help me in gaining more knowledge from the guys at the core of the game.

That being said I'm probably gonna lurk for a while until I have something useful to say :)

Peace,
-J

Thanks! Actually this username is a fictional one, the J is the only thing that is from my name :) But good advice on privacy, since I registered through LinkedIn is there a direct connection to my profile?

As for finance in Serbia, the local equity market is really shallow but there is a lot of dealing with EU and trading desks in banks are mostly FX. There is a few funds that operate on foreign markets from here so they take advantage of lower wages for professionals.

Out of every 100 men faced with battle, eighty are nothing but targets, ten shouldn't even be there, nine are the real fighters and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a Warrior, and he will bring the others back.
