Upcoming Summer

I'm a senior in high school currently, undecided on college but it'll be one of the following: IU, UMich, Notre Dame, Vandy, or Northwestern. Was wondering if anyone had input on what I should do with my summer this year. One option is just doing normal work, (lifeguard, busboy etc) and earning some pocket change, or if I should try to get a (most likely) unpaid internship at a local small bank? I'm under the assumption that better internships with larger firms/banks/companies aren't available for rising college freshmen, but if there are, I'd love to hear some. I'm a train ride from Chicago, so a commute there would be doable. Thanks for the help.
