here's my 2 cents: dont know how old you are but wiser people have told me that things that are minor annoyances initially turn into full blown major issues given enough time. If there is no way around it AND this has been a major issue for you then maybe just do yourself and him a favor and get out before things turn ugly..

I'll come at this from a different angle. how long do your text conversations last? he's definitely lying if you read the letter of what he said "can't text at work" but he could also be saying "I can't engage in long ass convos with you while I'm working 16 hours, but if you want to convey information or make plans that's straight."

BTW he has time to text. He may be spending 13 hours in the office, but only 4 of them are spent actually working. But keep at it, because there's nothing more attractive than a girl making an account on a website he probably checks just to ask about his whereabouts and intentions!
