What's up everyone

Hi All,

I am not a regular lurker of the site but I read a few threads here and there every so often. I figured it would be good to make an account and try to visit more regularly. I am a 2nd year corps member with TFA and I have BAccy degree magna cum laude.

During college I developed an interest in the capital markets but chose to finish my degree in accounting. I invest in equities and options with money I've saved over the years and I really enjoy it. At the moment I am trying to find a FT job starting summer 2015 and I can't help but feel I am doing a pretty bad job at it. It's near impossible to participate in traditional recruiting activities as a corps member in TFA (and their business/finance alumni support is horrible), especially because I am located in the southeast.

In any case, I'll be popping on here to meet new people and broaden my horizons.

Yeah that's a good point. I do know several alumni working in the big 4 but I better jump on it because apps are probably due ASAP. I was considering doing audit work w/ the big 4 when I was coming out of school but it didn't feel quite right and obviously I wound up with TFA.
