Would finances be viable for me?

Hi! I'm 17 years old and live in Portugal, in Europe. I decided to register on WSO because I need some answers about the finances world and related careers and degrees. After a disastrous first year in Portugal's equivalent of Highschool, where I was more worried with partying than studying, I managed to, on my second and past year, turn my grades around. Currently, I believe I can graduate Highschool with an equivalent of a 3.6 GPA (maybe even 3.7, but that's more far fetched), as long as I put work into it . Due to this, I started aiming for medicine. My city's university (Universidade do Porto) offers good options in this field, and I would be able to graduate without much of a financial strain. My grandmother is a physician as well, and she does have good connections in this area, which could also prove to be valuable. However, even though I don't dislike medicine, I must admit the main reason for considering it is the potential salary and stable career. I don't really like helping people, and if I actually went to medicine, I would certainly try to pursue plastic surgery. I don't know much about finance; however, I think its values better resonate with me: I'm very ambitious and competitive, I want to take risks and make as much money as possible. Thus, my main question is: can finance be a viable option for me, one that I should pursue, considering that all these factors I previously mentioned (living in Europe, 3.6~3.7 GPA, didn't have any Economy classes in Highschool)? If you think it is viable, what would be the ideal route to aim for, in order to get the best possible jobs ( in terms of college to attend, etc..)? Also, if I was to study at a private or expensive college, I would probably need to get a scholarship - otherwise, it wouldn't be easy to pay for tuition. Thanks in advance!
