2020 SA Summer Housing
Hi! I have a SA internship (think GS/JP/MS) this summer but having trouble finding/securing housing. In my offer, it says I receive a one time payment of $1.5k (doesn’t specify that it’s for housing but I’d assume so) but summer housing in NYC is way more expensive than that amount. Do firms usually have some type of housing arrangement set up or am I expected to come out of pocket for housing this summer? If so, any recommendations on where to live?
It's just a signing bonus not specifically for housing or meant to cover it. Most people pay out of pocket (NYU dorms (may be full now), new school etc.) I'm personally doing an airbnb but I'd start looking now.
Was adding the GS/MS/JPM part necessary? It was so shoehorned in like "hey anyone have housing advice? Btw i'm working at GS/MS/JPM." lol

Any idea of when BBs give us the housing stipend?
JPM pays well in advance (April or May) but most of the others include it in your first paycheck.
