4th of July Weekend in the Windy City

Hey folks,

So I have four buddies coming in town to spend the weekend for the 4th. I've only lived in Chicago for about 1 month now so I'm still very unaware of all the fun things to do. I've scanned the internet but the lists usually suck.

We're all 22 year old dudes and definitely into the nightlife, but still open to any suggestion.

So what are some awesome things to do? If you could structure it like things to do in the afternoon and things to at night (bars) that would be awesome. Any suggestions with: - Bars (Clubs, rooftop ones, unique cool ones, etc) - Restaurants - Different neighborhoods - Anything else cool

Just want to show them how awesome Chicago is! Thanks in advance.

Thanks man! Definitely interesting and helpful suggestions - I've never heard of these before. Anything closer to the city? I think they want to get the city vibe more. I, for one hand, will definitely check these out.

Should definitely take them to Austin for a good time, nice bars around there, or Lawndale area. Take them to south deering for the nature and beautiful view of the harbor. If you're on the south side you should visit 52th street and Prarie for solid food options and nightlife especially because it is very safe at night there. Take red line down to 95th and Dan Ryan at 2am for the nightlife down there since it's cheap bars. Hope this helps!
