6 weeks
Title says it all, I‘m stuck at my house for 6 weeks until my internship starts and have nothing to do. What are some productive/helpful things to do in terms of career and general personal development?

Work out / begin a bodyweight fitness and cardio routine; 6 weeks is enough to lose a significant amount of weight or gain a good cardio base before your internship starts, and develop good habits
Do an Excel learning course, such as Breaking Into Wall Street. Unplug your mouse of course. Get super comfortable with doing everything through your keyboard and be able to navigate fluently
Read 3 books (one book every 2 weeks) that you have been meaning to but haven't done yet. Not finance books... something that will entertain, inspire, or teach you something.
If you haven't yet, learn how to meal prep and cook healthy adult meals... will be helpful for a relationship as well
Konmari your life - get rid of everything extraneous that's holding you down in terms of material things, and get super organized
Any major life change is an opportunity to go into a new situation lean and mean!
Thanks this is pretty helpful, the excel course mouse tip is good since I’ve done an intro to excel course before but always use my mouse
Any chance of any free Excel/PowerPoint courses?
Macabacus is your friend for everything free Excel / financial modeling wise. It even has downloadable templates, which you can practice re-creating (using only keyboard of course).

I should also note, please do not buy or learn any macros! Your individual bank will have their own macros based on Factset, CapIQ or others. It's much better to learn the generic Microsoft shortcuts first, and then the macros when you start your job.
Awesome thank you! I’ve also heard that PowerPoint is something that SAs will use even more than excel, but I haven’t been able to find any free PowerPoint resources?
