6'5'' 210lbs - where should I shop?

I can wear most stuff in XL/XXL but those sizes are really made for fat guys, so they fit me awkwardly. Brooks Brothers offer some slim-fit stuff which is nice, but I am looking for tall/long cuts as well. Any other giants have luck with clothing?

Big and Tall stores? Sorry, I'm kind of in the same boat but not as much of an issue as I'm sure you face. 6'1" 168", Brooks Brothers Extra Slim Fit was a godsend after years of searching.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

I have a similar problem -- 6'4", 220, and I rarely can get into off-the-rack stuff. Slim fit doesn't work because it's too thin up top (fine in the midsection but doesn't fit my shoulders) and for me to get into a proper fitting jacket, I need a 44 or 46, but that's generally too wide in the midsection. And I sure as hell don't want to buy clothes from the Big and Tall Store -- I've found that Brooks Brothers regular fit usually works well, Charles Thywrhitt works well (non-slim fit), but that's about it.

What's your problem? Finding suits that are long enough or suits that are skinny enough while still fitting the shoulders? Length is not a problem - Brooks brothers offers most suits in extra long (they have 3 lengths - R, L & XL). The sales guy recently told me that the X-Long suits are designed for guys that are 6'5" - 6'6".

I'm almost exactly the same. A tall 6 4 with big shoulders. Not fat and 215. I find the best place for both casual and formal wear is Hugo boss. The shoulders are cut big in all their jackets.... Im American but my family is German and i am a large german looking dude so i wear German influenced styles when possible. I also started lifting lighter reps to try and loose a few.

I'm 5'10 170 and most off the rack stuff fits me perfectly. In fact, my size is usually on top of the pile, and most places generally carry exactly what I'm looking for with any article of clothing. Anyone else have the same problem?

Pymp, really? I was trying on Hugo at one of the departments (not sure if it was Nieman, Nordstrom, Barneys, etc.) and could barely get into the damn things. That might be because they only had the slim cuts -- does Boss make standard fit? I was putting on a 48 and thought I was going to tear the suit across the back. And I am not really that big, just very broad shoulders.

It's all about getting stuff tailored - dress shirts can be tailored at the waist to be taken in and suits can be tailored as well. It gets a bit tricky, but at your size you should be able to get the waist taken in enough to look good and not like a tent. I'm around 6' - 6'1 and weigh about 220 now, but I've slimmed down a bit and been doing more cardio - I was around 240 and that was difficult to fit in anything brooks brothers, etc.
