What I did: Called immediately prior to boarding an airplane and prayed that the Senior didn't answer. If Senior did, I was going to use the "This got away from me, it won't happen again" response and make sure I had enough lube on hand.
But Senior didn't answer, so I left a voice mail saying "I'm about to board, but wanted to talk through this, so please call me back." Turned phone off immediately after and used the plane ride to work frantically enough to create something presentable and develop questions.
