Reuters and other sources reported yesterday the Berlusconi family is considering selling a stake of up to 30 percent in AC Milan.
"Lady B" is shopping for a buyer.

How would you value a football (or as it is called in America, soccer) franchise ?

I'd value it like Man Utd. values itself as a franchise - split itself out into "commercial, broadcasting, and matchday" businesses and value each separately.
Matchday would mainly consist of the actual players as assets, and ticket sales as revenues. They would just value its players as assets measured at cost.
Deloitte has a Football (yeah, fuckers, the one where you actually kick a ball with your foot) Money League report coming out every year which values the richest clubs in the world. You might want to take a look into that.
@"TopChedder", @"evilmindbulgaria" thank you both for your replies. There's no question that football is big business in Europe. Do you happen to know if there are any investment banks (I image, boutiques) for the sports in general ?
I can barely come up with anything in the USA, save for Moag & Co , Park Lane. Raine has done some sports advisory also.
