Unfortunately, he does no hobbies and knows no hobbies, so WSO is his only hope.

Seconding gambling and guns.  Both are fun time sinks if you don't mind quickly losing chunks of your paycheck along the way, the second option being the preferable method of doing so if you're looking for practicality and a useful skill.

I would say learn how to cook. This will lead to better healthier meals for half the price of eating out.

You think this, but "learning how to cook" involves including waaaaay more butter, oil, cream, and salt than most people eat. 

Now of course portion control needs to be a part of the equation, but good cooking =/= healthy

Make a recipe then learn to make it healthier. Instead of butter in your box of Mac N Cheese use greek yogurt (at leats 2% non fat).

Helathy cooking can be delicious too.
