Alex Jones seriously needs mental treatment!

I just saw Alex Jones' appearance on Piers Morgan. Alex Jones is totally insane and paranoid. His arguments are ridiculous. And he cannot discuss without yelling or becoming offensive.
What do you think?

  1. I despise Piers Morgan Tonight (for reasons unrelated to this) and it's pretty obvious he invited him in order to embarrass gun owners. Note how Piers was able to pivot him to things like 9/11, which he insinuated was an inside job. But responsible gun owners have to side with him because the other option is Piers' view.

  2. Alex Jones is crazy as fuck and it's scary to think that Americans listen to him 3 hours a day every weekday. I think 10% of his tirade was to boost awareness/ratings for his radio show, but the rest of that was genuine batshit craziness. If the money wasn't so good for him right now he's be in the House of Representatives. That's how crazy he is.

Infowars (which I think he is in charge of, as mentioned in that Piers Morgan segment) is also promoting a conspiracy theory that the Newton school shooting was some kind of government cover up and there was more than one shooter. Not sure of the details of their theory I couldnt stand to sit through more than 1 min of the youtube video.

The guy is obviously an asshole and can't articulate a point. However, his point: we should be paranoid of our government's intentions, is totally valid and anyone who thinks otherwise is childishly naive.

Whether or not you think armed citizens are a hedge against this is an opinion. Personally, I think it's paramount to have an armed population to deter the government from tyranny, but to each his own.
