“All plus-size passengers should be provided with an extra free seat, or even two or three seats depending on their size, to accommodate their needs and ensure their comfort during the flight,”

Has anyone seen this story going around? If you take up the room of 2-3 seats on the airplane, you should have to pay for these seats as you’re occupying them. Crazy.

“Jae’lynn Chaney from Vancouver, Washington, started the Change.org petition “Demand for the FAA to Protect Plus-Sized Customers,” detailing several demands to ensure larger passengers can fly without issues.”

“For plus-size passengers who purchase extra seats on their own, Chaney wants the airlines to fully reimburse their additional seats, saying this process should be “straightforward.”

I'm of the mind we should make society more difficult for entitled gluttons to navigate and charge them more across the board for both public and healthcare-related services. If you do that to your body there should be costs, and not just the self-destructive, health-related ones. If you're such a fat fuck that you take up 2-3 seats and are spilling over into the aisle or other people's laps, you're an inconsiderate asshole. The whole reasons planes price the way they do is because they're trying to make the most for the amount of space they have available. If you take up more space it should cost more. Very simple.

And fuck the modern fashion of celebrating "health at every size". Talk about a trend that does nothing but cause propagation of harm. These fatfluencers deserve to be mocked for proposing such absurdity.

I just don’t understand her mentality as every person who is flying nowadays has to pay for the extra weight they bring on the plane (usually in their suitcases). But, if you’re getting on a plane as a 400lb person, you should be charged for an extra seat at the very minimum. It’s not fat shaming, it’s physics and an important variable to flying at a reasonable weight. The simple rule for flying these days is if you bring on extra weight, you should be required to pay for accommodations.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

Never thought of the luggage comparison. So true. If you have an extra 2-3 checked bags in your gut and ass you should have to pay for it!
