1) Europe has no obligation to these people. They have an obligation to their citizens, first and foremost.

2) Refuges leave war torn countries in search of safety. These people have found safety in Turkey. They are coming to Europe because of the benefits these countries provide.

3) Syria is only one of many countries "migrating" to Europe.

4) This isn't about women and children avoiding war. This is about single, young men going to Europe without cause.

http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/01/europe-refugees-migrant-…

"But the result is that 66.26 percent of adult migrants registered through Italy and Greece over the past year were male, according to the International Organization of Migration."

These "migrants" should be shipped right back to their home countries. It is the responsibility of all border EU nations to erect fences and provide military troops to ensure that these people are no allowed into Europe.

Additionally, Germany also has a massive issue with Turkish citizens who came to Germany decades ago and are still not integrated. How Merkel thought this fresh new wave of people would somehow fare different than the Turks already there is beyond me.

Liberalism is good to an extent, but it has swung too far left. Their radicalism is fueling the rise of the right wing in Europe, a place where you would have thought it was dead and buried. One could make a very good argument that the continual expansion of liberal policies and practices fueled the election of Trump in the US as well.

Conclusion - Nothing will happen. Europe will have to increase taxes to pay for educating and acclimating these people who will continue to isolate because of native citizens not wanting them around and their own desire to adhere to their beliefs in a society far too liberal for their tastes. This will create a perfect storm for terrorism, right wing extremism and bankruptcy.

If she was admitting she fucked up on refugees, she'd send people back home, especially considering Aleppo is being liberated as we speak.

Merkel is doing simply what she always does, pretending to care about issues, give a false solution and regain the consensus she lost.

It's the same shit when a few years ago she called multiculturalism a failure and then created a committee to ''increase diversity'' within her own party.

Words vs facts. She's a liar and an opportunist, detached from the problems of people.

Never discuss with idiots, first they drag you at their level, then they beat you with experience.

This post just made me realize that Fievel was Jewish and the cats represented Nazis. Maybe the answers to immigration and refugee issues can be answered by Fievel and his family. They had to escape the cats, so they came to America because there are no cats in america. They wanted to live a life without constant danger and oppression by the cats. People will always flee danger. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d2/AnAmericanTailPoster.jpg</a" alt="ooo" />
