Any fellow HPDE / Track Day enthusiasts here?

Happy Thanksgiving, WSO. Hope everyone is enjoying some family time, beer, and football today.

This topic represents nothing regarding the above sentence, but I know we've got a fairly active car community here on WSO so I wanted to bring up the topic. Have scheduled my third track day for mid-December @ H2R in San Marcos - got a 'bring-your-own-car' setup with a couple of buddies, will be a good day. I did SPR (Summit Point, WV) last year, was a huge organized event and a lot of fun, but this one seems more relaxed.

That being said, still relatively new to the track day scene so was wondering if anybody else on this website is a fellow track enthusiast. If you've got suggestions for raceways I should check out, primarily in the Austin or greater Texas area, please shoot 'em my way. Doing a COTA event soon, but they're booked until next spring. Trying to get more of my friends involved in the community, so fuck it - group event, anybody?

Am certified TT2 in TX (fancy word for like... one level above novice), so there's that. Not an expert by any means, but have gotten decent at it over the past couple of months. Always looking for more helpful tips and insights from anybody.

That's all! Enjoy the rest of your holiday.
